New campaign idea from the creative peeps on the LotS forums. This one is quite emotional and I think, very apt.
"When You Wish Upon a Star..."
Hello everyone! From everything we've seen, it has become apparent that Disney is no longer interested in producing Legend of the Seeker. It also seems that maybe they just want to shut it away in that big old Disney vault of theirs and forget all about it. I'm sure that they would like for us to just shut up and go away as well.
I don't think so.
Starting RIGHT NOW, we're asking everyone to send in a postcard of a star or stars with the phrase "When You Wish Upon a Star..." Nothing else should be on the front of the postcard. The message on the back should simply ask Disney to sell the production rights of Legend of the Seeker to another network. Examples will follow.
Here's the kicker and we really need all of you for this to work. Please send AS MANY AS POSSIBLE EVERY DAY to Disney. If you can only send one, then please do that. Every postcard is important. If you can send 10 or more, even better. If you don't want to make your own there will be plenty to chose from on this thread. If you've never mailed before, let this be the time your start.
Mailing Dates: Starts RIGHT NOW for everyone, overseas and in the US. Oct 9th is the end date, although we might extend it."
With the DVD drive hopefully making big sales, this is a great time to give Disney another push. And it reminds them that we are not going away. Despite what the sleeve of the S2 DVD says, WE WILL NOT GIVE UP, AND WE WILL NOT GO AWAY.
So please Seekers, I urge you to send as many postcards as you can. No amount is too small. If you can only send one, that is enough. If you can send more, great.
The important thing is that we ALL join in and do this.
