New article about SOS - Fantasy Book review
And it's from a UK site for a change which is nice. Lee over at Fantasy Book Review.co.uk has this to say about out campaign:
"Legend of the Seeker campaign set to continue
Fans of Legend of the Seeker have launched a multi-pronged effort to build visibility and audience for their show, despite the fact that Legend of the Seeker has been cancelled. Their aim is to help producers Sam Raimi and Rob Tapert find a new distribution channel for a third season.
Recent activities including raising $3000 for an advertisement in The Hollywood Reporter and a live podcast for Labor Day Weekend’s Dragon*Con in Atlanta.
To help promote the fan community’s activities and assist in building audience for the show, Project LOTS More is organizing free publicity and blogosphere coverage of the ongoing fan activities. SaveOurSeeker.com, one of the leading fan websites, has been coordinating the print ad campaign, raising money for advertisements as well as a bus stop near ABC Studios’ Burbank office. The website has also made poster tear sheets, other printed materials, and iTunes gift cards available to fans organizing Seeker Visibility Events at major conventions like Comic Con 2010 and Dragon*Con."
Great news, we need as much exposure as we can! Thanks Lee, the fandom appreciates it.

Reason we fight - Richard
Today is officially dedicated to Craig aka Richard. He has been sorely neglected of late so today I'm making up for it.
Here's a pic of Richard fully dressed - can't have everyone thinking we only love him for his body right?
Isn't he just the sexiest thing ever?. But who are we kidding, we love him with his shirt off!

Craig, Craig!
More Craigee! I think he looks absolutely adorable in this gif, I just want to pick him up and hug him. Mmmmm.
Reason we fight - Richard
Looking back over my posts I realised there was something missing. And that something is this:
Hello Craigee, how I have missed thee! I promise never to go so long without seeing you ever again.

Reason we fight - Kahlan
Trying out new features is not really my thing. But since I absolutely adore this gif of Kahlan brushing that beautiful hair I gave it a try. And it worked! Never has hairbrushing been so sexy
Now tell me you don't want to see more of this
Thanks again to Seekerbaby.

All about LotS
This SOS video perfectly encompasses everything I love about the show. Watching it makes me even more angry that it has been cancelled and makes want to fight harder to save it.
Thanks to Jane Doh for the video

Italy calls for your help!
Seeker fans in Italy are calling for our help. They are looking for donations to enhance the LotS presence at Romics, the Italian Comic Con:
"Legend of The Seeker needs your support! Supporting our Stand in Italy means to us the chance to giveaway free gadgets: the more you donate, the more Truth we will find in our Midlands!"
Why should you donate you ask? Part of the SOS campaign is to bring as many new fans to the show as possible. Having a strong presence at conventions worldwide will help to do that. And having international fans supporting the campaign and writing to the TV networks will help show them the scope of the show and let them know they can make money from selling to overseas networks.
Please help support SOS by donating to the Romics booth. Click their site to donate.

Nightwisps
Seekerbaby needs to make Photoshopping into a career. Here are another two offerings from her featuring Kahlan, Cara and the nightwisps. They are so beautiful I had to give them a post of their own
Kahlan, full of joy and wonder:
Cara, full of heartrending emotion:
We want more TV folks, please give us back our show!

The two sides of Zedd
After last night's trending attempt of Zeddicus Zul Zorander, I decided to dedicate this post to the man himself.
Zedd's character is pretty much set when we're first introduced to him
From this we know we're going to love him. His comedy is hilarious. And who can fail to laugh at the sight of him dressed as a woman?
>
We love his serious side too, the one where he shows he really is the only Wizard of the First Order.
But there is another Zedd we fell for as well. The delightfully cocky Young Zedd, played brilliantly by Gabriel Mann. We meet Young Zedd is S2 when Shota, for reasons of her own, casts a spell to make Zedd lose his memory and then restores his youth. Thanks Shota, you may have been misguided but we were very happy to meet him!
Young Zedd shows us how much power the Wizard is capable of, while also displaying the follies of youth. I don't know about you but I yelled at the telly when he pronounced himself not only King, but Seeker as well
Thankfully, the spell is reversed and we get our own Zedd back.
So there you have it, the 2 sides of Zedd. Which one do you prefer? Don't worry, you don't have to choose, for, in the words of Joey, 'put your hands together'. Or rather, we've done it for you.
Thanks to Seekerbaby for this brilliant pic

New campaign idea - apples!
Not real apples mind you, postal servies get a funny about that, but pictures of apples. Red apples to be specific.
Some of the fans over at the LotS forums came up with the idea of sending pictures of red apples to the folks at ABC.
"A couple of us put our heads together and came up with another idea to help snag Disney’s attention. Apples. We’d like everyone to find PICTURES of red apples and send them into Disney on the dates specified below. That’s RED apples, not REAL apples, okay? We need PICTURES, DRAWINGS, POSTCARDS, CARDS…you get the idea. We encourage everyone to send as many letters as you are able, but please send them on the specified date. While we can’t be perfect, we’re trying to get them to arrive at Disney at roughly the same time.
Somewhere on the photo or card or letter should be written “BRING BACK LEGEND OF THE SEEKER. WE NEED OUR SEEKER BACK IN THE SPIRIT HOUSE.”
Dates to mail:
US and Canada: 9/9 September the 9th.
Overseas: 9/1 September 1st .
Of course, we need to concentrate all of them to one person and one address:
Paul Lee
Disney-ABC Domestic Television
500 S Buena Vista St
Burbank, CA 91521
Send one apple, send a bushel, but please participate. Thanks everyone!! "
It's a great idea that doesn't take too much thinking about, or cost that much money. And everyone across the globe can participate.

Sigh. How can they not want to save this show? Hope it makes you want to fight harder as well as it does me
Sigh. How can they not want to save this show? Hope it makes you want to fight harder as well as it does me
So you want to be the Seeker?
Or the Mother Confessor? Or maybe a Sister of the dark?
I know how sad you all get when you see the original costumes for sale so I'm not going to show you those. Instead, I'm going to show you some of the brilliant reproductions made by Legend Costumes.
Tracy is currently working on the shirt and waistcoat for Richards costume but if you want to get a hard start why not start with his amulet?
Or maybe his arm braces?
Lovely aren't they? And they are made by the same artisan that made the ones for the show so they're practically original!
For the ladies, maybe you fancy being the Mother Confessor?
For an authentic touch Tracy is also looking into having the corset made. I for one am definitely looking forward to that! The confessor dress can also made into a Dennee dress by a simple change of fabric.
If you prefer the travelling dress then you are also in luck
And don't worry, the arms will be attached!
If neither of those float your boat, then maybe you'd like to be a Sister of the Dark (or Light) instead?
Made of beautiful silk, this also comes with the headscarf and complimentary bindi.
All of the above - and more - can be purchased through the Legend Costumes page on Facebook or you can contact Tracy on Twitter @LorileiLegend

Press release from Xenite
As part of Operation LotSMore, Xenite Publicity has issued a press release about the SOS campaign and the various fan activities. It's very good. Have a look:
"Legend of the Seeker Fans Organize Fall 2010 Blitz to Ask for Cancelled Show's Return
A new round of fan-organized activities on behalf of Legend of the Seeker is stimulating renewed discussion of the show and its prospects for a return to production.
August 26, 2010 - Seattle, WA - Separate groups of fans of Legend of the Seeker are moving forward with new plans to raise visibility and support for the cancelled television series. Recent activities include raising $3000.00 for an advertisement in The Hollywood Reporter and organizing a multi-day show of support for the show at the Dragon*Con convention, which will be held in Atlanta, GA over the Labor Day Weekend.
Science fiction fans attending the upcoming Dragon*Con convention are invited to check out the Legend of the Seeker fan activities being organized by TheSeekerCast.com and other fan groups. Up to 500 poster tear-sheets promoting the show will be given out at the convention, as well as other promotional items designed and paid for by the fans. A worthy cause
As many of you know the proceeds from the sale of the wristbands go to charity. A big shout out to everyone who bought one of the Cara bands, thanks to you a donation of £130 - or $200 - was able to be made to Refuge.
Refuge is a UK charity that supports the victims of domestic abuse. It's an important cause and any donation, large or small, can make all the difference.
So thank you Seekers, you're not just helping to Save Our Seeker, you're helping to Save Our Planet too.

I ♥ the Mother Confessor
My favourite flail queen Seekerbaby is doing a great job making images on her Tumblr. This is one my favourites. It has such clarity and shows off Bridgets beautiful blue eyes to perfection. Not to mention the epic hair! I'm not jealous at all...
Thank you Seekerbaby, keep them coming!

Competition time!
Seekertruthnet has launched a competition for fans to win some LotS merchandise.
"What is this? A contest!
How does it work? Simply show me the top ten reasons you love Legend of the Seeker and/or the top ten ways it has impacted your life.
How can I show you?
Any way you want -- but instead of simply coming up with a list, be creative! Draw something, make a video, a poem, digital art, a song, or whatever you can think of!
How long do I have?
You have until Monday, September 13th to submit an entry.
How do I submit an entry?
For image or word files, send them to my email at Shara_Starr@hotmail.com. For video files, please upload them to YouTube. If you are unable to upload them to YouTube, let me know and we'll see if it'll work being sent to my email or we will find another way!
What are the rules?
One entry per person. I expect everyone will use good judgment as well - obviously I will not accept anything negative about the show or anything that involves the personal lives of the actors/crew.
How is a winner determined?
There will be two winners -- first and second place. I will choose the winners based on what I think is the most creative, follows the "prompt," and really embodies what Legend of the Seeker is to the fans.
Will other people see my entry?
Yes. I plan on putting all the submissions in a website. I may make a book out of the artwork/letters/poems/anything printable to send to some of the cast and crew.
Why have this contest?
1) As a thank you to my fellow fans, who are amazing and have worked so hard! Some can't afford DVDs, etc so this is an opportunity for them as well -- 2) As a thank you to the cast/crew of the show, and to tell them why we love it so much and how it has affected us -- 3) The purchases of the prizes will benefit the show or books and the $$
What are the prizes? "
Click here to see the original post and details of prizes. They really are great prizes too so I for one am racking my brain to come up with a good entry.
So come on Seekers, get creating and show Seekertruthnet what the show means to you!

My review at IMDB
In line with the Seeker Devotion Campaign which aims to raise the profile of LotS through user reviews, I have posted one at IMDb. And now I'm posting it here for you to read!
"Despite having grown up on fantasy I had never even heard of the Sword of Truth books, let alone read them. So I went into Legend of the Seeker without any preconceived ideas of how the show should be.
The first thing that caught my eye was the magnificent scenery. I now completely understand my brothers desire to move to New Zealand.
Then of course, being a girl, I saw the fantastic outfits. If I could get hold of Kahlans corset I would.
And, also because I'm a girl, the jaw-droppingly gorgeous Craig Horner. That man should never wear shirts. Ever.
All of that aside though, the show is fabulous. It has everything you could ever want from any show, especially a fantasy one. Action, heroes, magic, romance, brilliantly choreographed fight scenes, stunning backdrops and a strong female lead who isn't afraid to be as feminine as she is ruthless.
I fell utterly in love with this show in a way I haven't done since I first saw Buffy.
If you miss this, you're missing out. "
If anyone of you have written a review of your own that you'd like me to feature, post me the link and I'll put it up for you.
Look forward to seeing some!

The many facets of Cara
In honour of last nights Twitter trending attempt of the beautiful Tabrett Bethell, I have decided to dedicate this post to her LotS alter ego, Cara Mason.
Cara is first seen in the last episode of Season 1. A full on, utterly ruthless Mord'Sith
In the opening episode of Season 2 she sets male, and female, hearts aflutter just by rising out of an enormous bath tub.
Who can blame them eh?
Cara's attempt to rule over the Mord'Sith and D'hara are nullified by Triana and the un dead Darken Rahl. She is beaten by her sisters, stripped of the signature plait and left for dead.
I'm pretty sure I'm not the only one who hated seeing all that beauty black and blue and covered with blood.
After hooking up with our heroes she slowly starts to regain a little of the humanity she lost while being broken. The turning point comes when she is about to be executed by confession and feels remorse for what she did to her father:
How many of you were rooting for her?
After this she adopts her new look and I know that many fans, if they were teetering on the brink, fell for her after that:
Delectable is not hyperbole when it comes to Cara's new look. However, that is not the end of her, albeit temporary, transformations.
Who can forget the episode where she has to pass for a submissive princess? There aren't many who could carry it off, but she does it with style:
And that's not all. In the penultimate episode of Season 2, in an alternate universe, Cara was never a Mord'Sith. Instead she was a simple village widow raising two children:
So there you have it, the many facets of Cara Mason. Which image do you prefer - the Mord'Sith, the princess or the village girl? Take your time, it's a difficult choice to make

Gabriel tweets
Fan favourite Gabriel Mann is great for helping the fandom out. His latest tweet makes us love him a little bit more:
"feel like throwing an #SOS mention out there just because #LOTS the fandom deserves it.."
Bless him, he's a top bloke and it's a great morale booster every time he shows us his support.

Pass it On video submission re-opened
The Pass it On videos have been so successful that the team behind them have decided to re-open submission for a 5th video.
118 people have taken part in the project so far, and as the LOTSvideo peeps point out, it's a great way to boost morale and feel like you're a part of something.
As a reminder, here is the very first video:
It really is a great way to be involved in the SOS campaign and it's easy enough to do - you just need access to a printer and video recording equipment. I love seeing the people involved and it really does make you feel a part of the global fandom. Go for it Seekers!
Find submission info here
Dealine for submissions is 31st August

A blast from the past
Are you missing LotS? Pining for the days when everyone was interviewing the stars? Take a trip down memory lane and remind yourself why you love them so much with this TVguide interview from Bridget and Craig
Operation LOTS More
Sci-fi/ fantasy fan and blogger extraordinaire Michael Martinez is turning his talents to help the SOS campaign.
Operation LOTS More is an online publicity campaign designed to promote SOS projects and bring awareness to the many fan efforts that are going on.
His new website Xenite.Org Publicity will serve as the hub and from here he will be tweeting various addresses asking for retweets.
As fans, the least we can do is to help him along. So, once he is up and running, get retweeting peeps!
If you have any plans or projects going to help bring back Seeker then let Michael know and he will do his best to promote your efforts.
This is a great opprotunity to let the wider world know about Seeker and our efforts to save it so take full advantage and let Michael help you along.

Seeker items for sale
This morning I was cruising through Ebay, trying to find a LotS DVD set for cheaper than £48.99, when I came across a whole load of Seeker items for sale. This is nothing unusual if you're looking at Ebay.com but I'm in Blighty so I use the .co.uk version. This doesn't usually show up items from the other ebay sites.
Now I can see ALL the Seeker items for sale from across the globe! Which is great for fellow Brits as a whole but not so great for the bank balance.
There are all sorts of things for sale - from original costumes from Shed 11, the original wedding rings from Dayna, to photographs, mousemats and autographed items.
As a fan of the show I am sorely tempted by this card signed by Bridget Regan
Nice huh? However, as a redblooded female fan I am even more tempted by this
Imagine running your fingers over that every day.
For the full list of items for sale at Ebay.co.uk, click here
Happy viewing, I'm now off to check my bank account

Region 2 DVD is coming!
All you Seeker fans in Europe (and that includes me) - the wait is over! Our beloved fellow Seeker baby Angel7368 found a Region 2 DVD on Ebay for us. It's even in the UK so no waiting for shipping from the US. The writing on it is German but who cares about that - we can finally watch it!
There are more than 10 available and they are selling for £48.99. A little pricy to be sure but cheaper than buying a new DVD player.
Thanks to another Seeker fan, LOTS_Eli, we have found you the same set for a lower price. Amazon Germany is selling for €35.99 which, as of today's exchange rate, works out at roughly £29.46.
The site is of course all in German, but if you don't mind navigating that then you've just found a bargain waiting to be snapped up!
Not only that, but Wikipedia is also stating that the Region 2 release is 28th September.
It's finally here!

Isn't it amazing? Many thanks to the SOS team for getting it in and to Ken Pagano, graphic designer extraordinaire

A write up for Cara
With his blog 'TV in space' Glenn Farland is proving himself not just a devoted fan of sci-fi and fantasy but an avid Seeker baby as well.
His first article, entitled 'Fans continue to seek more Seeker' was a great write up for the SOS campaign, taking note of the fact that the Torch Online is noticing us and calling LotS a 'cult phenomenon'. We of course couldn't agree more. And it's great having as much exposure as possible.
His latest Seeker article features everyone's favourite Mord'Sith, the incredibly sexy Cara Mason. In it Glenn addresses the gay characters that were omitted from a recent Blastr article on the '20 gay characters we love from sci-fi movies and TV'
Thay had neglected to mention our Cara. Sacrilegious I say ;)
So Glenn has given her a mention instead.
Simply entitled 'A follow up to Blastr's top gay sci-fi characters', he calls Cara "most loveable and yet toughest gay characters I’ve ever seen". We couldn't agree more with that either.
Thanks for the article Glenn, Seeker fans appreciate every word.

A confession - with eye candy
I have a confession to make. My son doesn't like Legend of the Seeker. Yes you read it right - a child of mine, blood of my flesh, does not like Seeker.
He's never actually watched it mind you, he just decided that he doesn't like it from seeing tiny bits of a couple of episodes and hearing a description. He groans everytime I watch it and sniggers when I do anything LotS related.
So today I decided that enough was enough. I was going to make him interested if it killed me. I went through all the things that might interest him - he's 15, with all the hormonally charged interests that go with that - and finally settled on showing him a few things from the show.
I called him in to have a look. First I showed him this:
He said 'Oh. Kay'
Then I showed him this:
He said 'Oooh'.
Then this:
He said 'Ok, I'm interested'
And finally I showed him this:
My son is now interested in Legend of the Seeker. And I can watch in peace :)

A sign of things to come?
Seeker fan Mitch Rowland has made a poster for what he'd like to see in season 3. I admit to never having read the books as I don't want anything to spoil my enjoyment of the books, so I have never heard of the Dreamwalker, but damn, I'm seriously impressed!
Take a look and tell me it doesn't make you want to fight harder for another season!
Thank you Mitch, we love your work

More good news!
Anyone who keeps an eye on the press or IMDb, or just loves that business we call show, will now that August 29th is a night of glitz. Primetime Emmy award glitz.
I love to watch award shows. It makes me feel a part of the glamour of Hollywood just for a little while.
But this year I have an even better reason to watch. Legend of the Seeker's very own music composer, Joseph LoDuca, has been nominated!
Anyone who watched LotS will instantly know the show from the first few bars of the brilliantly haunting theme music, and it is in this category that Josph has been nominated - Outstanding Original Main Title Theme Music.
Outstanding? We couldn't agree more.
Mr LoDuca, LotS fans wish you all the luck in the world and will be rooting for you every step of the way.
Click here to see Joseph's nomination on the official Emmy's page.

A little bit of good news
Ok, it's not great news but it does give a little glimmer of hope to flagging spirits.
The snarky and unwelcome article at tv by numbers titled 'Syfy Not Saving ‘Legend of the Seeker;’ Looking Doubtful Anyone Else Will Either' has had fans feeling downhearted since it was published.
Well, angryfantasyfan dug out another article by the same author from a few months ago with this title 'When Pigs Fly: Will DirectTV Save “Damages?” '
He seemed pretty darn sure that no way in hell was DirecTV going to pick up Damages. And yet, just a few months later, he had to eat his words. Why? Because DirecTV announced that it was indeed picking up the show!
So to all fans out there feeling dispirited because of his article, fear not! It means nothing. Keep those letters flowing and we will see who wins in the end.

Sing a long a LotS
Want to do something a bit fun and help to save our show as well? The team behind the brilliant Pass it On videos are looking for participants for their new project - a LotS sing a long!
A little info on the project's goals:
"The premise of this project is to create a Legend of the Seeker fan "music video", and to get as many people as possible wearing costumes/customized Seeker clothing or using LotS related props. It is not essential to have these to be included, but we want to show ABC/Disney that fans are willing to spend money on merchandise. The video makes a pretty strong argument that LOTS is merchandisable. Merchandise= money for networks. And Money for Networks= Season 3."
If you love to sing and are a friend of the camera - or if you just want to do something a little different, click here for submission details. But hurry, there are only 2 days left!

For starters
Good morning Seekers! Today is a brand new day, with brand new stuff to look at.
We have a lot to be proud of - the SOS campaign raised over $3000 in less than a week, our FB page has hit over 17,000 members and new ideas are being created and fulfilled every day.
So to start you all off I thought I'd show you a little video pic spam I made featuring the lovely men of LotS - what better way to start the day!
Don't worry all you men out there, I've made one featuring the women as well :)
