A Christmas greeting

To all my wonderful Seeker buddies,

Despite having a terrible year healthwise, it's been a good year. Why? Because I found Legend of the Seeker! And i found all of you.

So I wish you all a very Merry Christmas and a wonderful New Year. Here's to a Season 3!

I absolutely adore this picture. For me, it signals the start of the adventure, the moment when Kahlan crosses the boundary using magic. Before it was a possibility, anything could have happened, but with that crossing she is truly on her journey to the Seeker...

Heartbreaking moments

From the episode 'Desecrated' in Season 2, this scene was particularly poignant. Seeing the two women fight over who gets to sacrifice themselves for the other? Sweet yet, awful, and very moving. Wouldn't we all offer to die to save a friend?

How much do you feel for them, as Richard begs Kahlan to free him from Danna by confessing him, while Kahlan pleads for him to be strong enough. Gut wrenching.

I wanted to cry in this episode. Again. This shot of Kahlan's anguish at the destruction of the Forest of the Nightwisps really sums it up.

Heartbreaking moments

Season 1 episode 'Sacrifice' has plenty of heartbreaking moments. Today I chose the scene where Kahlan finds Dennee is a D'Haran prison:



Call me emotional but scenes like this always make me well up. I find it easy to empathise with a character and Kahlan has such a big heart that it's almost impossible not to imagine how she feels.
She thought her sister dead and gone, only to realise she must be alive when her mate is discovered still confessed.
And to find her eventually imprisoned and pregnant...well, imagine how you would feel.

A bit of romance

For those of you missing Richard and Kahlan's epic romance here's a beautiful creation from @GoldenAce to help fill that gap.

The image of Kahlan

I thought it was about time I posted about Kahlan and the fabulousness that are her outfits.

When we first encounter Kahlan in Season 1 she is wearing her signature outfit, the white dress.
Made from silk velvet with flowing sleeves this is the look she is known for throughout season 1. When she wears this she is marked for what she is: a Confessor.
The white dress is a symbol of her power and authority



Love this outfit.

Her second look is the travelling dress which she sports from episode 2. This is the dress she wears if she wants to go incognito



Love this dress too. Especially the wide leather belt.

The next outfit isn't really a 'look' but she looks so amazing that it had to mentioned. Kahlan as a Mord'Sith! Many heart were set aflutter when she wore this in the episode Sacrifice.



And the last and final - so far;) - outfit; the Season 2 dark leather dress! The only explanation we have for the sudden change of outfit part way through the season is that of practical reasons. The white ones got so dirty they were going through them too much!



Did we mind? Hell no. Kahlan rocks the new outfit. It's a darker, more sensuous look that would seem to mark her move towards being more of a warrior, sworn to her Seeker. It also makes a nice complement to Cara's leathers.
Even that could signify more, that as the two women become closer, some of themselves rub off on the other. Cara becomes more than just a Mord'Sith, while Kahlan becomes more of the warrior. A little harder than she was in Season 1.

And to end, I feel I would be remiss if I didn't feature what is absolutely my favourite part of all Kahlan's outfits - the corset! In fact it is so amazing that I feel it should be capitalised. The Corset.



Sigh. What wouldn't I give to look that good in everything I wear.

I adore this pic. I love anything to do with dancing, especially the formal kind, but there's something special about this.
The dance is simple yet seductive and their chemistry sizzles as they stare into each others eyes.
Sigh, we need them back!
