New campaign idea

This one is a direct response to 'that' wording on the Season 2 DVD cover. You know the one I'm talking about.

Here's the basic idea:

1.) If you have not bought season 2, have an autographed copy or don't want to part with yours...then buy another one

2.) Take your outer box cover and "alter" it. In other words, tape, scratch out, etc the "and final" on the front. Show your frustrations, but DO NOT be a jerk. No nasty language, anything obscene or offensive. That will not have the desired effect and will make the rest of us look bad. Don't do it. Below are some examples (thanks to Aci!) - these can also be used instead of an actual box if you have an autographed copy or don't have season 2 yet (I refer you back to number 1...BUY IT).

3.) Include a picture of yourself with a Save our Seeker sign or some other way to designate you as a fan and/or a letter to Disney (Pictures are best). Stuff the box full of postcards ( When You Wish Upon a Star thread), letters, the printed box covers below...whatever. BUT PLEASE...do not send anything else. We want to be consistent.

4.) Send it to Disney/ABC. They should receive these November 10-12th. So plan your mailing accordingly!

The addresses:

Paul Lee
Disney-ABC Television Group

New campaign idea - Unhappy Heroes!

A few fans over at the LotS forums have been coming up with some ideas for the campaign. The latest one is great - Unhappy Heroes!
The idea is to send pictures of our heroes in distress to the folks at Disney. Seeker fan Dragonfly is brilliant at coming up with pictures and she is happy for fans to use her work. Here's a couple of my favourites:

Feel free to use these,or you can make your own!

"I must ask that you please refrain from using vulgar language or being accusatory. Those will hit the trash can first. Just be creative and have fun with it! Get involved. If you’ve just been lurking, give it a try. If you’ve strayed away from the forum, come back! You’re always welcome home.

The addresses are:
Anne Sweeney
Disney/ABC Domestic Television
500 S Buena Vista St
Burbank, CA 91521

Paul Lee
Disney/ABC Domestic Television
500 S Buena Vista St
Burbank, CA 91521

Janice Marinelli
Disney/ABC Domestic Television
500 S Buena Vista St
Burbank, CA 91521

The mailing dates are as follows:

Outside the US-Sept 17th
US and Canada-Sept 24th

Remember these letters go to Disney/ABC. We also ask that you continue to send your letters to the networks listed in the JBC for this week. We are not in competition with the JBC."

This is another great way for fans to get involved and feel that they are doing something. And the staggered dates will mean the letters have a good chance of all getting to their destination at the same time for maximum impact.
So let's get sending and make the execs at Disney sit up and notice us!

Seeker mention on The Board Magazine

The Board Magazine ran an article on wedding theme ideas and featured Legend of the Seeker.

"You’ll find that there are a multitude of things you can do to make your wedding unforgettable to both you and your guests. Some people choose to go to exotic places, others choose fabulous venues, while others decide to make their weddings theme oriented. For example, a couple who are absolutely obsessed with the tv show Legend of The Seeker, might feel its a good idea to plan a wedding with a Legend of The Seeker theme. This couple could don outfits like the ones their favorite characters wear."

I think is is an awesome idea! Imagine having a Seeker themed wedding - Confessor Bride, Seeker groom, Mord'Sith bridesmaids.
That really would be a way to make your wedding unforgettable.

I love this article, it's a novel way to bring more attention to the show. Thanks Board Magazine!
